Arrow of (Variable)
Skill Name Update:
All instances of “Arrow of” spells have been changed to “Dart of”, to reduce confusion of a mundane arrow and the magical attack.
This would be Dart of Elements, Force, Dream, Blood, Corruption, and Conviction. Sorcerer’s “Latent Power” text has been updated accordingly.
Factions (Page 41)
Added text:
New Factions
As the story moves forward, and the needs of either Outpost change and evolve, different factions in game may gain or lose their contracts. The list presented in the rulebook are the factions that, within the story, were contracted at the start of the outpost exploration. The Character Creator, where you will build out your character skills, includes an option to sign up for a faction. The faction list within the Character Creator will include new factions and their details.
Critical Strike (Page 56)
Skill Update:
Upgrade, Gambit, Behind
Pre‐req: Decisive Strike
Verbal: Double (Variable) OR Triple (Variable)
Delivery: Weapon
While behind an opponent you may use this ability to Double any Decisive Strike or Vital Strike you have. Note that this ability is a Major, not a Minor, but its cost is paid instead of the Minor cost of the modified skill.
You may choose to pay the cost of the Minor skill that is being modified in addition to the Major cost of this skill. If you do this, you may instead Triple the attack.
Season’s Balance (Page 85)

Text revisions for content and clarity
"Packet Destroy/Packet Disarm" Clarifications Removed
Removed text for "Packet Destroy - LIONE Clarify" and "Packet Disarm - LIONE Clarify" combined into a single clarify.
Packet Destroy, Disarm, Maim - LIONE Clarify (Page 136)
Added text:
If the limb is included in the verbal (ie "Disarm Left Hand by Will", "Maim Right Arm by Force") the specified limb will be affected. If the limb is not specified and the target is hit on a limb, the limb struck will be affected. For an unspecified packet, if the target is hit in the body, any direct possession of the target (such as a shield), is unsure which limb may have been struck, or is hit on a limb already affected, it is the target’s choice of what is affected.
Disarm - LIONE Clarify (Page 136)
Added text:
Players may opt to put down any of their physical representations at their side, rather than dropping it. In the case of doing this you may not use it for a full five seconds. If any attacks that would hit you are blocked by the phys rep, you take the appropriate damage and/or effect. Just as if it was dropped, you may not use defenses, passives, or skills that require the phys rep to be in hand.
Suits of Armor - LIONE Clarify (Page 143)
Text revision:
“If it looks like Heavy Armor, it counts as Heavy Armor”.
At LIONE, we do not have hard rules on physical armor representation, and instead employ a method of “reasonable appearance.” As such, we support the use of alternate materials for the creation of armor physical representations without any category detriment. Or if a phys rep appears to meet a weight category despite it being commonly considered a lower category, we may allow it to go up. For example, if a player has a thick and large gauge chainmail shirt that is actually physically heavy, it may be considered Heavy Armor instead of Medium. A steel boned corset may be considered Medium Armor. Heavily padded clothing may be considered Light Armor. Even with alternative materials, you have six armor areas; head, upper torso, lower torso, shoulders, arms, and legs. A full suit covers at least four of these areas. A partial suit covers fewer areas, and for each area under four the overall value of the armor is reduced by one category. Armor should be worn or brought to weapons check at event check-in for inspection.
Lione Rampant: Horizons has three different categories of armor. All armor must have an item tag associated with it that represents the defenses provided by that item. You may only actually benefit from an armor type for which you have the appropriate Wear Armor skill. With an interpretive approach to armor phys reps, we ask our players to err on the side of caution, and not make assumptions. If you are uncertain what your armor may count as, please email L8@lionerampant.com or ask at Check-In.
Below are some common examples of armor and what category they value at.
Light Armor: suede, thin leather, padded armor (gambeson), and furs.
Medium Armor: rigid leather, brigandine, and chainmail.
Heavy Armor: scale mail, plate mail, or chainmail reinforced with two or more rigid leather or plate pieces.
